Luxembourg, 7 November 2016
Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) has been awarded as Best Reinsurance Company at the first European Captive Services Awards.
Organised by Captive Review, the first European awards ceremony was held in Luxembourg on 7 November 2016, with a gala event that opened the biennial appointment with the European Captive Forum (8 and 9 November).
Ludovic Bayard, GEB General Manager, received the Award and celebrated with GEB team and guests attending the event. “I am glad to receive this recognition on behalf of the entire GEB Network, from our headquarters in Brussels to our local -partners worldwide. I’d like to thank them all for their well-known talent and commitment to excellence. We dedicate this award to our clients, who partner with us in devising cutting-edge solutions that address market needs and ultimately ensure employees’ wellbeing.”
In line with its commitment to leading and shaping the employee benefits industry over the last 50 years, GEB has been the first provider of captive arrangements and is still today leader in this segment.
At the first European-level captive competition, GEB was awarded in the category that gives centre stage to solid expertise in managing captive risk and in working effectively with captive owners. Judges further evaluated the ability to demonstrate a deep understanding and knowledge of captive arrangements, and to provide examples of innovative programme structuring, as well as of efficient and reliable claims payment.
In explaining the awards the jury highlighted in particular how GEB presented a “simplified and streamlined process to facilitating the funding of employee benefits through a captive, demonstrating its extensive experience in international insurance programmes and reinsurance”. GEB has been finally able to confirm its “flexibility in designing and implementing reinsurance programmes, working to the unique needs of captives and their parents”.
GEB teams look forward to further celebrating this achievement and planning success ahead at the upcoming GEB Forum, the three-day high level conference held in conjunction with GEB 50th anniversary.
