Delivered by some of the biggest experts on the field, the keynote speeches of both the first and second day were dedicated to Solvency II, focusing on hopes and fears generated by the new regulatory directive and discussing the impact it will have on the development and supervision of captives.
The 36 workshops that were scheduled throughout the event explored several different aspects from the setting up of a captive, to the jurisdictional and governmental regulations related to it, including employee benefits, data management, innovative developments and indeed Solvency II-related issues.
As in the past edition, also this year Generali Employee Benefits actively contributed to the event being a sponsor and a speaker. Together with Bill Fitzpatrick (Deutsche Post DHL) and Mandy Viel (MAXIS Global Benefits Network), Marco Giacomelli, GEB Chief Operating Officer, participated as a speaker to the workshop titled “Managing healthcare costs through data and evidence-based decision making”.
The European Captive Forum represented once again a good opportunity to share experience, ideas and knowledge with the rest of the market and to meet and network with the main captive owners, both existing and prospective.
